For sale is the oldest preserved log cabin in Prášily, located in the heart of the Šumava region, both in terms of style and layout. The house was built in 1777 by Count Kinský as a manor house for the tenant of the local glassworks, Mr. Abele. Later, a doctor lived there and also had his practice, which is why the house is still called the doctor’s house. After World War II, the cottage served as a recreational center and since 1996 it has been used as a tourist lodge.
The house sits on a plot of 1305 m2, which is connected to the road by a private driveway. It is equipped with electricity, public water supply, and public sewage. The heating is central and provided by a wood gas boiler. In the basement of the house, where there is a stunning social room, there is also a wood-burning fireplace.
Currently, the cottage is used as a tourist lodge with ten rooms and a capacity of 60 beds. However, it could potentially be converted into a stylish guesthouse, or used for private recreation or living. The surrounding land offers further possibilities for use.
Prášily is one of the typical Šumava villages surrounded by pristine nature. The area offers excellent sports and tourist activities, as well as a number of important tourist destinations in the Šumava region.
